A Blessed Yes!

Have you ever asked the question, “What did I just get myself into?” A year ago, I was asking that question as I was approached and agreed to pursue a mission trip to India. I had several thoughts go through my mind, including what it would cost and how it would be paid for, how would I manage my diabetes, would there be enough people interested in going, etc. And, oh yeah, most airlines were still experiencing cancelled flights and significant delays.

While not all answers were provided immediately, I sensed that God was telling me He had this, and I needed to trust Him. Not surprisingly, God provided just the right people to go on this trip which was to be a medical mission trip. We had two doctors, one nurse, and two people well equipped to train and equip people who were working with special needs children. Our financial needs were fully met, all visas were approved, and while we experienced one flight delay, it did not impact our trip. We arrived at our destination on time and witnessed God do amazing things through us and in us for His glory.

There aren’t enough words to describe the experience of trusting Him and experiencing in a profound way what it means to simply obey Him when He says go! If I had said no, I would have missed out on a tremendous blessing and experience that is now part of my witness for God.
