The pastor and congregants of Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church are deeply moved by the aftermath of the recent events in Haiti and call upon all of us to ask God to direct us to respond as we are able. Here is the initial phase of our response
PRAY
The Wesleyan church has issued a call to prayer for the crisis in Haiti. Please join in praying for the nation of Haiti that:
Mission Trip: EHWC Community Response Mission trip to Haiti, March 2010.

Focus: To provide medical care and general help to one of 10 areas identified by Wesleyan Global Partners as not yet receiving aid and care.
Mission Trip: EHWC is sending Two Teams to Run Day Camps in Haiti, July 31- August 7, 2010

Focus: To run a week long day camp for Haitian children through World Hope International. Needed: Two teams of 6 to 8. One team of college students and young adults will be led by Justin Jones, and one team led by Robin Schara. Estimated cost: $1800
Mission Trip: EHWC Work Mission Trip to Haiti, TBD Fall 2010
Focus: To work on identified rebuilding projects across the island of Haiti
Needed: A team of 6 to 8 construction workers and general laborers. Estimated cost: $1800
SPECIAL PROJECTS
Eastern Hills Wesleyan Church is working in conjunction with World Hope International and Wesleyan Global Partners to identify long range, larger scoped work needing support in Haiti. PRAY
The Wesleyan church has issued a call to prayer for the crisis in Haiti. Please join in praying for the nation of Haiti that:
- The people of Haiti would turn to the Lord in the wake of the crisis
- The children of Haiti be protected during the upheaval
- Needed aid would arrive and be distributed expeditiously
- The volunteers and workers would be safe and sensitive to the environment
- God would do a new thing in their nation as it is being rebuilt
- Donate items: The following are being collected in our church lobby to be taken to Haiti by EHWC mission teams: Bandages, antifungal creams, antiseptics, hand sanitizer, nutrition bars, pain relievers, etc.
- Give to World Hope: Online donations direct to World Hope International may be made at www.worldhope.org.
- Give to Global Partners: Checks should be made payable to "The Wesleyan Church" and mailed to the "Wesleyan Emergency Relief Fund", P. O. Box 50434, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250. Use fund number "WM07-0005" with the description "Haiti Relief." To make a credit card donation call 800.707.7715
- Give to EHWC Global Missions to assist those who would like to go and aid in the relief effort (Make sure to reference Haiti Missions Team Sponsor on check memo line)
