His Words

Carey Dugan / Preschool Assistant Director

My world is filled with noise. I work with preschool children. I help with preschool children at church. I have dogs, children, and a husband. I am always listening to the radio or watching the television. It is always going, and it is distracting.

In the middle of all the noise, I must intentionally remember the importance of spending time in God’s Word. In the busyness of life, I need to prioritize time each day to hear God above the noise. I need to let His words feed my heart, mind, and soul as food feeds my body.

In Matthew 4:4 Jesus said, “It is written ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Every word of Scripture is a gift from God’s heart to ours, intentionally spoken for us.
