God’s Sovereignty and Provision

Bobby Krahling / Pastor of Recovery

It’s a bit comical because when this time comes around every year, my brain feels scattered and I am not quite sure what to write about. God always shows up though and certainly has a sense of humor.

Recently my veterans G.I. bill expired, and I didn’t know how I was going to continue my education pathway that God called me to. I said, “If I am called to go to school, then I need you to pay for it, Lord.” That same day I was told that the fall semester was covered, and I didn’t have to worry about anything until spring! Then Southern Wesleyan University told me about a church matching scholarship they have, and I was accepted into that! Then I also got accepted for the Wesleyan loan grant! CHA-CHING again!!!! Thank You, Lord!

God’s provision is insane! All I had to do was pray! Which reminds me that prayer must be our first response and not our last resort!

God has also been up to something in the ministry I have been overseeing for the past five years. Re:generation is going into year five and last year we finally launched groups for staff and now in October, we will be launching Regen for students! Amen again dear Lord!

It’s just insane to see God’s sovereignty and His provision over the years! I can’t wait to see what is next!!!

Jeremiah 29:11 felt the most fitting for these last couple of days. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

I know God will continue to stretch all of us, and it helps if we embrace the stretching and just obey what He has called us to, and most importantly invite others into our process and leave the results up to Him!
